The Wellness Center
The Wellness Center, located on the first floor of Wagner Terrace, and staffed by our Wellness Coordinator, an experienced R.N., provides screenings and medical referrals, nutrition and medication counseling, incontinence management, and regular visits by an audiologist and a podiatrist.
Fitness Center
Across the hall from the Wellness Center is Noble's Fitness Center, recently outfitted with all brand new, equipment especially chosen for ease of use by older adults.
The Fitness Center is open at no charge to all Noble residents, former short-term or outpatient rehabilitation patients, and those who have completed an application and are on Noble's waiting list.
Recreation
Integral to Noble's goal of seeing that all Noble residents remain physically and mentally fit, a wide variety of activities are geared to the interests and abilities of our residents. The recreation staff also schedules frequent social events and regular "out trips" for shopping, lunch at one of the area's many restaurants, visits to points of interest or scenic rides.
The Spa
Noble's beauty salon, staffed by licensed professionals, provides skin and nail care for women and men. Spa services include a range of skin treatments, from a European deep pore cleansing facial to peels and firming facials. A licensed massage therapist offers 60-minute Swedish massage and 30-minute chair massage or hand, arm, foot and leg massage.
St. Luke's Chapel
Built in 1983 and completely refurbished in 2003, St. Luke's Chapel is a serene haven well suited to serving the spiritual needs of the Noble community. The non-denominational chapel is the setting of weekly Protestant and Catholic services, Jewish holiday services, frequent hymn sings and a variety of musical performances.
The Country Store
Operated by the Noble Horizons Auxiliary, the Country Store is a stylish boutique that is a favorite stop for residents, staff and the larger community. It is stocked with a wide selection of costume jewelry and accessories, home decorating items, cards, snacks and sundries.
The Life-Long Learning Center (L3)
This large multi-purpose room in Wagner Terrace a is home to the Taconic Learning Center, which offers an ongoing series of college-level classes on a variety of topics, all geared to the interests of older adults. The learning center is also the venue for regular exhibits of paintings and photographs by area artists, with opening receptions where residents and community members enjoy socializing.
The Library
Situated conveniently on the ground floor of the Cobble, the library boasts an extensive selection of large-print books, periodicals, computers connected to the Internet, a Vision Tech magnifier, and e-readers.
The Community Room
Noble's most capacious gathering space is the Community Room, the scene of holiday parties, lectures and performances, and the annual Festival of Trees, a display of Christmas trees and other decorations that draws thousands to Noble every year.
The Clubhouse
The Clubhouse is a cozy retreat any time of year. Equipped with a gas fireplace, a handsome bar and a wide-screen TV and furnished with round tables and club chairs, the Clubhouse is a popular spot for weekly socials and small get-togethers.
Our Pets
Pets are important members of the Noble family and add greatly to our residents' happiness. Current resident pets include cats and an aviary housing parakeets. Specially trained canine visitors from the Good Dog Foundation make frequent visits.
In-House Television
Noble's in-house television broadcast system helps all of our residents stay current. They can tune in to Channel 13 to check the daily roster of activities and menus or to watch movies and cultural, educational, and religious programs taking place at Noble on their own TVs. This is especially helpful to those residents unable to attend these events in maintaining a sense of connection to life at Noble.
Family Council
The Family Council, founded in 1996, brings together family and friends of residents to share common concerns and offer mutual support. The council meets every other month and welcomes new members at any time.
Hospitality
Guests are welcome to join resident family or friends for meals by reservation.
There is a small charge for guest meals. An elegantly furnished private dining room can be reserved for special occasions.
An attractively furnished guest room is available to family and friends of residents staying overnight. A pleasant lounge by day, it can be turned into a comfortable sleeping room for one at night, with a full bath nearby. Occasionally larger guest accommodations can be made available as well.
Modest guest room fees are allocated to Noble's Pet Therapy Fund, which provides food, supplies and veterinary care to Noble's pets.
