The Housatonic Camera Club Annual Exhibition and Sale Noble Horizons
Noble Horizons welcomes the community to an opening art reception for the Housatonic Camera Club's annual exhibit and sale on Friday, January 20 from 5:00-7:00 pm. The exhibit and sale will be open weekends 11:00am-4:00 pm through February 26. Members of the Housatonic Camera Club (HCC) come from communities in the tri-state area to share their love of photography, their experiences, travels, expertise, and to educate one another and the public about the photographic process. Members work in film and digital; prints, slides, color and black & white mediums. During their monthly meetings, held at Noble Horizons on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM, the Club offers programs for the general public. These programs include exhibits, fieldtrips, workshops, and seminars that cover topics from the basics of photography to cutting edge technology and techniques. Members participate regularly in photo competitions sponsored by the New England Council of Camera Clubs and the Photographic Society of America. HCC has exhibited at the Millbrook Free Library, Millbrook, New York; the Cornwall Free Library in Cornwall, Connecticut; The Moviehouse in Millerton, New York; The Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield, Connecticut; The Salisbury Association's Academy Building in Salisbury, Connecticut; and The Hunt Memorial Library in Falls Village, Connecticut. Noble Horizons, a not-for-profit, continuum of care retirement village situated on 110 open and wooded acres, is located at 17 Cobble Road in Salisbury, Connecticut.
