On four consecutive Monday evenings beginning March 5, Noble Horizons will host "Food to Live For", with Jane Sirignano, The Cancer Project's acclaimed "Food for Life" Nutrition and Cooking instructor. The FREE series will feature information and recipes that may help prevent heart disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes and cancer as well as improve over all health.
Heart disease, cancer, stroke, and diabetes are the top killers of men and women in the United States. Learn how to prevent and reduce the risk factors, how to improve the quality of life, now, and possibly reverse type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and other lifestyle-related diseases. Each class will highlight healthy nutrition basics and feature lively cooking demonstrations from simple recipes that yield naturally delicious, easy-to-prepare meals. Class participants are encouraged to enjoy the food prepared in class, the ingredients for which have been generously donated by LaBonne's Market in Salisbury, CT. Among the topics are "Grains: the Good and the Bad," and "Phytochemicals: The Department of Defense ".
